PAUL DOUGLAS
Paul started taking pictures in 1976 with a Kodak c110 camera. Having a keen eye for detail and quality, he quickly moved to a 35mm camera. With the digital age now upon us, he has completely moved to digital, bringing even more of his artistic talent to the forefront.
Paul has an extensive background in lighting, which came from working in the television field for 22 years, 10 years of which was at CFTO-TV in Toronto. His lighting knowledge is now extensively used in his photography as well as theatre.
Through Paul's time at CFTO-TV, his photography of different shows was published world-wide in their promotional brochures, including pictures of Jim Henson & the Muppets, Jack Lemmon, James Whitmore, Donald O'Connor, just to name a few.
Paul has also done cover page photography for The Country Connection magazine.

PLANNING YOUR WEDDING DAY
. some helpful hints
— Book Picture U Photography at least 6 months ahead with a deposit.
— When setting time for church and wedding leave a minimum of 1½ to 2 hours for bride and bridesmaids' photos. (Usually 1½ hours is sufficient).
— After wedding, again leave 1½ to 2 hours for photos before reception.
— To make your photo session go faster, have only the people that are going to be in the shots where you are having your pictures taken. (Example— bridal party - parents - grandparents)
— The faster I shoot the more FUN YOU HAVE!
— Don't forget to allow for travel time to church, from church to location, and from location to reception.
— When I am taking your pictures, you should enjoy your special day, so I encourage you to relax and have fun while I get you .... GREAT SHOTS that you will enjoy for many years to come!

F.A.Q.
Q. When should I book the photographer for our wedding?
A. Anytime from six months to a year, basically the sooner the better.
Q. We want a nice outdoor family picture taken. But don't know where, when, or how?
A. Call me— I have lots of good locations, I can also tell you if you have to book a time or rental for the park or space.
Q. How long should we allow for photos?
A.
. Family photos— 1½ hours 4 people
. Product shots— based on predetermined agreement.
. Portraits—½ to ¾ in studio, ¾ to 1½ on location
. Weddings— 1½ hours with the bride and girls before wedding. (This also gives you a few moments to relax before the wedding.) 1½ hours after the wedding for the groom, groomsmen, wedding party, and immediate family. (I also work in extra travel time if needed.)
Q. What if it is raining?
A. Always have a PLAN B, an area inside should always be planned just in case.
Q. Is it OK if someone else is taking pictures?
A. I would prefer not! I can't wait for them to focus or change poses. If their flash goes off when I take my shot your picture could be ruined. We have a lot to cover and I want everyone to have fun, enjoy, and say ...WOW! It went so fast!
Q. We love our dog Pooky-- can she be in some of our shots?
A. Yes of course, we have done many pets that are proud to stand, or sit, or lie down with their owners.
Q. Do you take other types of photos?
A. I take pictures of all most anything. I like to be fresh with ideas, so I don't specialize in just one field. This way of shooting keeps it exciting for me, and gives you, the customer, the best quality possible.
